Step 3 of 5: Tax Residency Details Form

*All fields are required unless otherwise indicated

We need to ask you a tax question.

The Canada Revenue Agency requires us to collect info about your tax residency when opening a chequing, savings or investment account.
Are you a tax resident or citizen of the U.S.?*
If you’re a U.S. Passport Holder, U.S. Permanent Residence Card holder, legal U.S. resident, or alien with a U.S. place of birth, you are considered a tax resident of the U.S. and required to provide a U.S. TIN.

Are you a tax resident of a country other than Canada or the U.S.?*
Rules for tax residency can be complex and vary by country. If you're unsure, please refer to that country's tax authority or contact your tax advisor.

We need a little bit more info.

Please let us know which countries you hold tax residency in, and your Tax Identification Number (TIN) for each one. What’s a TIN?

Tell us more about your tax residence.

We’re required by the Canadian Government to ask you a few more questions.
1. Did you obtain residence rights under a Citizen by Investment (CBI) or Residency by Investment (RBI) program?

2. Except the country(ies) that you have declared tax residency, do you hold residence rights in any other country(ies)?

3. Except the country(ies) that you have declared tax residency, have you spent more than 90 days in any other country(ies) during the previous year?

4. In which country(ies) have you filed personal income tax returns during the previous year?

Are you sure you want to cancel?
